Before you leave on your journey to the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, there is one item you need to make sure you pack.
While they have pretty much everything you may need available from the various merchants…. Food, beverages, toys, weapons and even a variety of clothing, they seem to have forgotten to transport any means of recharging those pesky datapads. ie: the term the people of Batuu call cell phones.
Why is this so critical? First. The land includes a ton of ‘cant miss’ activities that require either use of the Play App, internet or Bluetooth, that of course are the natural nemesis of ones battery. And second, someone seems to have forgotten to transport and install a Fuel Rod kiosk. You know… One of those handy devices that allow use to exchange a spent battery for a new one.
Why is this a problem? Once you are transported to Batuu you are not allowed to leave and return during your 4 hour reservation window. So if you get carried away on a low battery, there is not an easy solution to recharge on Batuu.
How do I know? Cause it happened to me. My fuel rod was mistakenly left happily charging in the hotel. It took the involvement of several people including some upper level rebels to allow me to leave the planet and grab one, and return to continue my journey. (Thanks Millie,Chris & Luis)
So until they remedy the situation by adding one of the kiosks in Batuu, a bank of charging stations or modify the rule to deny departure and return, be sure you have plenty of external juice with you so your visit to Batuu isn’t interrupted.
